Residency: Program Highlights

Interns Scavenger Hunt: Jenny Hoffmann, Suzy Rizi, Anne Csere, Sana Ashraf, Julie Kim and Lisa Payne (Program Coordinator)

Broad and Diverse Clinical Experience

— 18,000 Pediatric Emergency Department visits per year.
— 22,000 scheduled pediatric visits (general and subspecialty).
— 2,500 admissions - Children's Ward & PICU.
— 1,058 admissions - NICU and nursery.

Teaching Program

— Daily attending rounds and bedside teaching.
— Protected weekly block of didactic teaching sessions covering core curriculum and board review.
— Interactive learning in conjunction with traditional teaching via state-of-the-art eLearning system

Continuity Clinic Program

— Hospital based, same 1/2 day per week for 3 years on a team.
— Team leader: full-time faculty member.
— Nurse Practitioners as coordinators and team member.
— Site visits as a team to learn about community resources (e.g. Braille Institute).
